A few reminders AND a new book by Karen Day "No Cream Puffs"
Hello!!
We just got back from Sugarloaf and Reggae. I must say, it was fun. There was a huge crowd and I was more then happy to see some "Ski Like a Girl Stickers" (and t-shirts). The Sugarloaf Ski Shop mysteriously has a "ski like a girl" t, but it's not our design. We have banged on their doors trying to get our line in there, but to no avail. For now, just order on the website.
A reminder -- Please check out Nicole's Run -- www.nicolesrun.org for sign up info. We can all use some exercise and this is a great event. I guarantee you , you will be happy you participated. There are some great prizes and the Be a Girl Board Members will be there walking the walk!
"No Cream Puffs" by Karen Day-- This is a fun read and tells a great story.
All you young girls and mother's with young girl's need to take a little time and read "No Cream Puffs" by Karen Day. This book will remind us all of how far girl's sports has come. You should also take a second or two and thank the Universe for Title IX.
No Cream Puffs is about a twelve year old girl named Madison who loves baseball. She is the first girl in southern Michigan to play on a boy's team -- let's just say that not all the players were glad to see her AND some of the parents weren't all that nice. It's a nice read and I encourage you to buy it, read it and pass it on. AND -- encourage your local library to put it on the shelves. I wish when I was growing up I had that book to read. It sure beats the Bobbsey Twins.
And yet another adventure -
My cousin Kathy and family are entering into the ice cream making arena! Home made, organic ice cream, right from the farm. Look for further updates and maybe even a naming contest (my idea "Mobile Cone").... When I think of all those tastings, I can hardly wait. The ice cream machine has already been delivered -- it's as big as a refrigerator, so for those of you (like me) who was thinking it may be about the size of a toaster oven, think again. This is going to be great! Caitlin (Kathy's daughter is on our Board, so we have the inside "scoop".)
AND also, check out the "Maine Maven" -- one of our favorite writer's has a great website.

Thanks so much for featuring my novel. I really appreciate it!
